<p>The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the performance of the pieces of the piano cycle “Eight Memories in watercolor” by the Chinese composer Tan Dun (born in 1957). Referring to the early period of creativity, this work demonstrates many artistic features and elements of the musical language, which will later manifest and be enhanced in a mature style (attention to Chinese folklore, dialogue with Western tradition, interest in the theme of nature, reliance on the positions of Taoism, Chinese mysticism, etc.). The authors of the article, based on the research of Chinese and Russian musicologists (Xu Qinglin, Yang Tong, O.V. Sinelnikova, Tian Lin, Zhen Zeng, Baolu Chen), give a general overview of the stylistic features of the work. A step-by-step performance analysis of each of the eight plays of the cycle is carried out (“Autumn Moon”, “Staccato Beans”, “Herdboy’s Song”, “Blue Nun”, “Red Wilderness”, “Ancient Burial”, “Floating Clouds”, “Sunrain”). In the course of the research, the authors identify the most important performing qualities necessary for a convincing interpretation of the cycle “Eight Memories in Watercolor” – a developed timbre and coloristic ear, the ability to build a sound perspective, fine mastery of pedalization techniques, and precision articulation techniques. The issue of the interpretation of the four miniatures of the cycle by Fu Tsung is studied separately, and the world premiere of the piano opus in Lang Lang’s interpretation is analyzed.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Тань Дунь</kwd><kwd>«Восемь воспоминаний в акварели»</kwd><kwd>фортепианный цикл</kwd><kwd>вопросы исполнения</kwd><kwd>китайская музыка</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Tan Dun</kwd><kwd>“Eight Memories in watercolor”</kwd><kwd>piano cycle</kwd><kwd>performance issues</kwd><kwd>Chinese music</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">Цинлин С. 2018. № 41.
