Статья представляет собой междисциплинарное исследование на стыке культурологии и африканистики. Рассмотрена проблематика культурных кодов, являющихся ключевым фактором в понимании культуры и способствующим ее идентификации, а также вопросы ценностей и смыслов в контексте культурноисторического процесса. В Субсахарской Африке на формирование культурных кодов оказали влияние специфические факты истории. Один из пластов африканской культуры — это базовая картина мира, система традиционных ценностей, форм жизнеустройства, взаимосвязей с природой. Формирование еще одного пласта связано с колонизацией, насильственной христианизацией, борьбой за свободу и независимость, а также с комплексом расовых проблем, определивших самосознание африканцев. Рассматриваются следующие взаимосвязи исторических событий и порожденных ими ценностно-смысловых блоков: колониальное угнетение, работорговля и сопряженный с этим смысл «травмы»; национально-освободительная борьба и связанный с ней ценностно-смысловой комплекс свободы и независимости; расовый конфликт и ответы на него в виде 2-х ценностно-смысловых блоков: а) Феномен «мы тоже» б) Феномен «мы лучше» — мысли о специфике и уникальности африканцев, о превосходстве черной расы; вопрос о миссии Африки и африканцев, реализованный в идее «чернокожий человек — спаситель веры, хранитель духовности и чести»; традиционный контекст, вопрос об уникальной системе представлений, воплотившийся в ценности жизни, в принадлежности к общине, в отношениях с предками и с природой. Автор приходит к выводу о существующей взаимозависимости культурноисторических событий и базовых ценностно-смысловых блоков, получивших отражение в африканской поэзии

The article is an interdisciplinary study at the intersection of cultural studies and African studies. The article considers the problems of cultural codes, values and meanings in the context of the cultural and historical process that determines the formation of a specific African culture. Cultural codes are a determining factor in understanding culture, contributing to its identification. The most important factor in the formation of cultural codes is historical memory. In Sub-Saharan Africa, cultural strata associated with specific historical facts influenced the formation of cultural codes. One of the layers of African culture is the basic picture of the world, a system of traditional values, forms of life, and relationships with nature. The formation of another layer of African culture is associated with colonization, forced Christianization, the struggle for freedom and independence, as well as with a complex of racial problems that determined the identity of Africans. The following bundles of historical events and the valuesemantic blocks generated by them are considered: Colonial oppression, the slave trade and the related meaning of “trauma”; The national liberation struggle and the associated valuesemantic complex of freedom and independence; Racial conflict and responses to it in the form of 2 value-semantic blocks: a) The phenomenon of “us too” b) The phenomenon of “we are better” — thoughts about the specifics and uniqueness of Africans, about the superiority of the black race; The question of the mission of Africa and Africans, embodied in the idea “the black man is the savior of faith, the guardian of spirituality and honor”; The traditional context, the question of a unique system of ideas, embodied in the value of life, connection with the community, with ancestors, with nature.
