of Gustav Mahler’s work in the period of the 1930s-40s. It focuses&#13;
on the fate of Mahler’s legacy in Nazi Germany. The period under&#13;
consideration became a period of calm: the previously lively and&#13;
contradictory process of reception of the Austrian composer’s work was actually “put on pause”. This article is devoted to&#13;
identifying the main reasons that determined this situation. It&#13;
also analyzes the main provisions of the critical argumentation&#13;
on which the views and judgments of prominent musical&#13;
ideologists of the Third Reich were based. In addition, the article&#13;
identifies the main premises of the anti-Mahler discourse, formed&#13;
during the composer’s lifetime and rooted in the twenty years&#13;
following his death. It turns out that a number of provisions&#13;
of this discourse served as a solid foundation for criticism of&#13;
the composer’s work at the next stage of reception, largely&#13;
determining the anti-Mahler sentiments of the 1930s and 1940s.&#13;
The period following the end of World War II (1945–1960)&#13;
should have been accompanied by a serious critical revision&#13;
of the attitudes that prevailed under the Nazi regime and, as&#13;
a consequence, the establishment of a more objective assessment&#13;
of the composer’s work. However, despite the official abolition of&#13;
the ideological taboos imposed by the critical apparatus of the&#13;
Third Reich, contrary to expectations, no tangible changes in the&#13;
reception of Mahler’s work occur at this stage. The reason for&#13;
this was the deeply rooted attitudes and prejudices in German&#13;
criticism that continued to determine the overall negative tone&#13;
in judgments and assessments of Mahler’s work in the post-war&#13;
period</p></abstract><abstract xml:lang="ru" abstract-type="summary"><p>Статья посвящена проблемам рецепции&#13;
творчества Густава Малера в период 30–40-х годов XX века.&#13;
В центре ее внимания — судьба малеровского наследия&#13;
в нацистской Германии. Рассматриваемый временной&#13;
отрезок стал периодом затишья: живой и противоречивый&#13;
процесс рецепции творчества австрийского композитора&#13;
был фактически «поставлен на паузу». Выявлению главных&#13;
причин, определивших данную ситуацию, и посвящена&#13;
настоящая статья. В ней также анализируются основные&#13;
положения критической аргументации, на которых&#13;
базировались взгляды и суждения видных музыкальных&#13;
идеологов Третьего рейха. Кроме того, в статье выявляются&#13;
основные предпосылки антималеровского дискурса,&#13;
сформировавшиеся еще при жизни композитора&#13;
и укоренившиеся в течение двадцатилетия, последовавшего&#13;
за его кончиной. Выясняется, что ряд положений послужил&#13;
прочным фундаментом для критики творчества композитора&#13;
на следующем этапе рецепции, во многом определив&#13;
антималеровские настроения 30–40-х годов. Период,&#13;
последовавший за окончанием Второй мировой войны (1945–&#13;
1960), казалось бы, должен был сопровождаться серьезным&#13;
критическим пересмотром установок, господствовавших&#13;
при нацистском режиме и, как следствие, утверждением&#13;
более объективной оценки творчества композитора.&#13;
Однако при официальной отмене идеологических табу,&#13;
наложенных критическим аппаратом Третьего рейха,&#13;
каких-либо ощутимых перемен в рецепции творчества&#13;
Малера на данном этапе не происходит. Причиной тому&#13;
стали глубоко укоренившиеся в немецкой критике установки&#13;
и предрассудки по инерции продолжавшие определять общий&#13;
негативный тон в суждениях и оценках творчества Малера на&#13;
послевоенном этапе</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Густав Малер</kwd><kwd>рецепция</kwd><kwd>нацистская Германия</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Gustav Mahler</kwd><kwd>reception</kwd><kwd>Nazi Germany</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">Sponheuer B.
